Grant Process

Grant Guidelines

  • Grant Requests can be made for up to $1500

  • Special emphasis is given to projects or programs with limited sources of income.

  • Grants do not support programs or projects that are political or religious in nature.

  • Priority will be given to projects that directly benefit the Prospect Park neighborhood.

  • Grant recipients should credit the Prospect Park Co-op Legacy Fund in publicity and publications. 

  • Projects should be completed by April 15 of the next year. If there is an issue with completion, please send a request for an extension to pplegacyfund@gmail.com


‍ ‍Past projects primarily focused on the following areas in Prospect Park:

  • Local, neighborhood improvement

  • Education

  • Underwriting scholarships for co-ops, peace, or justice education

  • Projects or programs involving seniors or persons with disabilities

  • The environment

How to apply

  1. If you received funding last year and have not submitted a final grant report, please do that before applying this year.

  2. Complete the Application formand submit it by midnight (12am) on the 15th of May.  This will include a description of the project, audience to be served, amount requested, budget, and goals of the project.

  3. Grants will be awarded following the annual meeting on the last Saturday in May. Checks will be sent out the first week in June.

  4. At the end of the project, submit a final report. Look for the Grant Report section in the menu above.  Pictures of your project are appreciated. They can be sent separately to pplegacyfund@gmail.com
